Community Support Moves the Vision Forward

Support for the Napa Valley Center for Grape Growing and Farmworker Education continues to grow across the philanthropic community. The Hearst Foundations recently awarded a $100,000 grant to support the Oakville Capital Campaign, helping move the project another step closer to becoming a reality.

The Hearst Foundations support nonprofit organizations working to strengthen communities and improve opportunities for people across the United States. Their investment in the Center reflects the broader impact the project will have throughout Napa Valley.

Once completed, the Center will serve as NVG’s permanent home and a gathering place for growers, farmworkers, students, and community members. The Oakville campus will include a demonstration vineyard, classrooms, and collaborative meeting spaces designed to support year-round education, research, and industry dialogue.

For NVG, the Center represents more than a building. It is a long-term investment in strengthening agricultural stewardship, expanding educational access, and ensuring Napa Valley’s vineyards continue to thrive for generations.

With community partners like the Hearst Foundations stepping forward, the vision for the Center continues to gain momentum as NVG moves steadily toward groundbreaking.
