Why This Project Matters

The importance of building this legacy project and how you can help...

Plant Permanent Roots

The risks facing agriculture are vast, making the importance of our continued efforts to ensure the viability of grape growing that much more urgent. There is no better vantage point to do this from than the heart of the valley.

2

Champion Innovation & Excellence

Continuing to raise the bar on viticultural best practices will be paramount to maintaining Napa Valley’s position as a global wine industry leader. Owning 1.5 acres of an iconic vineyard recently featured in Wine Spectator’s “Top Vineyards in the World” as well as space to host educational programs, allows us to advance these efforts.

3

Connect with the Community

Building a central hub that welcomes the community into the vineyard enhances our ability to educate about environmental stewardship and sustainability practices employed by growers that protect our natural resources and enhance the quality of life for everyone who lives and works in our valley.

4

Secure Financial Sustainability

The fruit from the vineyard will be used as an additional revenue source for the organization and allow us to continue to expand our programs, advocacy efforts, and community engagement initiatives.

A Dream Realized

Our past president, the late Steve Moulds, took this project on as his last legacy, in a letter to the NVG Steve wrote:

"I can have no greater goal in life than to secure the future legacy of hte ony try caretaker of agricultural aspiration, the Napa Valley Grapegrowers. We have all embarked on a journey of epic proportions. As the risks facing agriculture grow around us, our response has been to lay a foundation upon which our ideals in fostering best practices will flourish."
