Framing Begins at the Patrick Foley Center

This week brought a major milestone for the Patrick Foley Center for Grape Growing and Farmworker Education: framing operations have officially begun on the Main Office Building. Crews completed plate layout and started wall framing for the first floor, marking the project's transition from site and utility work into vertical construction. After months of groundwork, the building is finally taking shape above the ground.
Overall Project Progress
The original building on the site has been fully demolished, and rough site grading is substantially complete, clearing the way for the work now underway. On August 25, 2026, crews poured concrete slabs for the Pavilion, Trash Enclosure, and Mechanical Room, laying the foundation for the site's supporting structures.
Underground Utilities Advancing
Beneath the surface, progress continues just as steadily. The domestic water service connection has been installed, and crews will keep extending water piping to the building in the weeks ahead. The septic tank and sanitary sewer tanks are also in place, positioning the project well for upcoming utility connections and site improvements.
Looking Ahead
With framing now underway and critical underground infrastructure in place, the Patrick Foley Center is moving steadily toward its planned opening. Each milestone, from demolition to grading to this week's first walls, brings the Napa Valley community closer to a dedicated home for grape growing and farmworker education.
